Sangbad’s acting editor Muniruzzaman dies with Covid-19


Khandaker Muniruzzaman, acting editor of Dainik Sangbad, died at a hospital in Dhaka this morning after being infected with Covid-19.

Muniruzzaman breathed his last at 7:40am at Mugda Medical College Hospital, according to family sources. He was 71.

Earlier, Muniruzzaman was undergoing treatment at his Shantinagar residence after he tested positive for Covid-19.

As his condition deteriorated, he was admitted to the hospital on the night of October 31.

Muniruzzaman had been the acting editor of the newspaper since 2003.

Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has expressed deep shock and sorrow at the death of the acting editor of Daily Sangbad.

The Prime Minister also prayed for the eternal salvation of the departed soul and expressed sympathy to the bereaved family.

Law Minister Anisul Huq has also expressed profound shock at his death and prayed for the salvation and peace of his departed soul.
